How to Install and Configure Enshrouded Dedicated Servers

Enshrouded is a massive voxel-based survival RPG that is best experienced with friends on a 24/7 dedicated server. Here is how to configure your GameSphere Enshrouded server.

1. Locating the Configuration File

Enshrouded uses a single JSON file for all major server settings. In your GameSphere control panel, open the File Manager and navigate to:

/savegame/enshrouded_server.json

2. Essential Server Settings

Edit the JSON file to customize your server. Be very careful not to break the JSON syntax (ensure commas and quotes are placed correctly).

• "name": "My Epic Server" - The name that will appear in the server browser.
• "password": "secret123" - Leave this blank for a public server, or add a password to keep it private.
• "saveDirectory": "./savegame" - Do not change this unless you know what you are doing.
• "slotCount": 16 - Enshrouded currently supports up to 16 players simultaneously.

3. Finding Your Server in the Browser

Due to the massive popularity of the game, the in-game server browser can sometimes fail to load all servers. If you cannot find your server by name:

1. Open Steam.
2. Click View > Game Servers.
3. Click the Favorites tab and click the + icon.
4. Enter your GameSphere IP:PORT and click OK.
5. Launch Enshrouded, and your server will appear at the top of your favorites list!
